Avian Trauma Center

I can not even describe how blazing hot it is today. This poor bird flew into our front window and landed panting in the full sun on the front porch. Gaela and I tried to figure out how to get him out of the sun. First I brought out the small bowl of water and imagine our surprise when the poor guy hopped into the dish. We got out the roasting pan next thinking he'd like something roomier. He preferred the kiddy pool. We held the blanket up for a while until we got overheated and draped it over the porch rail and moved the whole operation over so we could go inside and let him calm down.

Cadillac thought we were having bird stew for dinner....He was most disappointed when the bird flew off......

Thursday's Free Concert

Stephanie Gaela and I went to Sonic Lunch in Ann Arbor today.....This week's band was Family of the Year.....They were fabulous! The weather was perfect! Stephanie had a good time and so did Gaela and I!!!

Look What I Finished Today

Two garlands.....For a wedding.....One is small and made of craft paper, vintage paper doilies and book pages for the card box.. The other is made from linen, burlap, vintage book pages and lace for the brides table.

I love the way they turned out!

Back Yard Wednesday....

Only a few snap shots of the back yard this week.. A storm is coming and the bugs were eating me alive while I was taking these pictures.....

Quiz Tuesday.....A Day Late

My new family.....

                                         

My questions are...When was the original photo taken? and....When do you think this print was made? The fame is plain wood and the wood panel backing has been screwed right through to the front of the frame. The photo itself is printed on heavy card stock in a matte finish and it appears to have some white highlights painted in.....It is a great piece, if a little faded and water stained.
I have been thinking it over and I think I'll keep the family I have......

Enjoying An Outdoor Concert In Ann Arbor

We couldn't see the stage because of the trees but the music was from the soundtrack of my youth and Stephanie had a good time people watching while we listened and danced.......

Can't wait for the next free concert at Liberty Plaza!
