Eight Squirrels In The Yard On This Frigid But Beautiful Day

It is very cold today even with the sun out. This little guy came out from where ever he was holed up and chowed down as fast as he could all the while lifting one foot then another off the cold snow.

Which Squirrel Is Smarter?

There are three squirrels in the back yard right now.... One is hanging from the bird feeder dropping as much as he gets into his mouth, one is under the feeder picking up what his buddy is dropping and the third is under a chair out of the freezing rain and snow mix eating what I put on the ground in that shelter. I believe I am voting for the guy under the chair.

Lucky Squirrel Scores A Whole Tortilla Chip

My daughter poured an almost full bag of tortilla chips onto the floor next to the bowl.... A good try gone wrong. I picked up the chips and crumbled them for the critters and birds in our wintry backyard. This squirrel was so excited when he found an uncrushed chip in the snow. He grabbed it and ran for the goal, settled in and ate the whole thing. We have eight squirrels in the back yard this winter. That is about the limit for out yard's size. They are so fun to watch!

My Walk Yesterday

I found two pop cans which here in Michigan means twenty cents... But more importantly I got some sun and fresh air with my daughter! The pond has iced over again after our unseasonable warm weekend and as of this morning we have snow covered ground again!

What I found on my walk today

Magnetic letters a,i,o and x,a nice pencil with a good eraser, a nickle and a ping pong ball the cats are absolutely in love with!
