I am a Mom, Wife and Daughter. Say road trip and I am all ready in the car. I do love to stay home too. I am either reading, sewing, crocheting, doing something with paper or taking care of my family at any given moment.
Today was the beginning of the South Lyon City Wide Yard Sale. It is sunny and quite cold with a bit of wind today but not too bad for walking to tag sales! I was disappointed that there aren't as many sales this year as in the past but I did manage to find a few things during my six mile walk pushing Stephanie. I also ran a few errands downtown and Stephanie and I visited her old classroom at the high school! All this and I burned lots of calories, soaked up some vitamin D and only spent $13.50!
Can't you just picture giving the new baby a Savings Bond in one of these envelopes and then the new parents being able to slip the envelope into the baby book with the hospital bracelet adding things along the way like a lock of hair from baby's first haircut!
I got these matching mirrors on the same day at two different Salvation Armies. I painted the frames with chalkboard paint and then embellished them with burlap, black lace, pages from a vintage falling apart copy of Cannery Row and a few vintage buttons! I think they came out great!
Pontiac apparently got into something toxic last night. An afternoon at the vet getting flushed out with IV fluids did the trick. They also gave him some charcoal to absorb the toxins. He is the first animal the vet has ever run across that bit the end off the syringe and swallowed it then drank the charcoal from a bowl. He is an idiot, but we love him anyway. He is sleeping on my legs right now.
