Just Passing Through....

This turtle was very unhappy that Gaela and I brought Cadillac out for a look see.....

                 All Cadillac did was sniff the shell and then eat grass.....

Back yard....Pat has been working very hard to make this our outdoor summer room and Mother Nature has been very helpful in busting out the greenery this year.

This is the "circle" in front of the house.....There are four houses that take care of it. The other three houses mow the weedy grass and Pat transplants our irises and other plants in the center.

Memorial Day Parade 2013

 First Taps was played and then Veterans and Soldiers marched by......

 Then the Families of Service Men who are serving over seas walked by carrying pictures of their Service Members.....I couldn't even take a bad picture of the Soldier who marched alone in fatigues holding a folded flag.......And for the first time there wasn't a tram of  Pearl Harbor Survivors......

Our friends walked with their own greyhounds with the greyhound rescue group.

 It wouldn't be a parade in Metro Detroit without a few classic cars.....

Our Mystery Tree

You may remember the tree Pat rescued from the wood chipper last Fall......

It seems quite happy in its new home this Spring!

Quince

I think the quince shrubs in front of our house are my favorite Spring flowers of all time!
