Frog in the Pond

The other day Gaela came home from a day on the lake and headed out to our little back yard pond. She came flying back in asking if we had seen all the frogs in the pond.... We haven't had frogs in our pond since Spring when it got warm early and the frogs thought it was safe to come out.... Then we had a cold snap. Well, I counted six frogs... Gaela said she had counted eight of them. Pat was baffled as to where they all could have come from in such a short time.... He had just been out there watering. Gaela couldn't contain her joke any longer, she had brought them home from the lake and planted them in our pond. I have only seen two frogs since then. Don't know if they are the same two frogs or they are taking turns posing for us. However many stayed in our pond how confused they must be!

What I made yesterday

What I Made Today

I made the flower out of several vintage doilies, a circle cut out of an old book page and some buttons. The cupcake picks are tiny real sea shells glued to toothpicks.

Look what got dragged home from the trash today!!!

We need to tighten a few joints, give this puppy a sanding and a coat of maybe the palest aqua paint and won't this be pretty in the back yard? What color would you apint this bench?

The Boys Have A Play Date

This Sweet Boy is Charlie.

Charlie was found as a stray by a local man who took him in and adopted him....He was then transferred to China for a year......

Charlie is being boarded at the kennel Gaela works at for the entire time. Gaela brought Charlie home for the night to give him a break from the "cat room". He is very much enjoying his view to our back yard and is especially enthralled with the chipmunks. He would like to eat Sheldon for a snack..... and Cadillac and Pontiac are less than thrilled (understatement)! We are making it work and Gaela will periodically be bringing this Sweet Boy home for a break from kennel life.
