Beautiful Ice

The ice on the pond was just too incredible not to share today. I have never seen formations like this and am puzzled as to how it happened. Wafer thin sheets of the most fragile ice shattered and layered... Mother Nature is an artist no one can compete with.

    Ice never ceases to amaze me! It always warrants a closer inspection and is so often beautiful--and I never know how exactly it creates those designs!
