About Me

My photo
I am a Mom, Wife and Daughter. Say road trip and I am all ready in the car. I do love to stay home too. I am either reading, sewing, crocheting, doing something with paper or taking care of my family at any given moment.

Happy Halloween

Mother Nature "carved" this pumpkin for us... Too funny! We had been hoping the pumpkins would hold together till tonight.... But this is even better!!!

Half Way Through Clearing The Logging Camp In Our Back Yard

The saddest part of all is this is all we can find of Elizabeth's hand print paver.

The beginnings of our fire wood pile and some other pieces that Pat has used to line a path.

The second tree to fall was actually a two-fer. These are the bigger pieces.

The partially repaired waterfall.

What's left of the first tree to fall.

Another Tree Falls.... This One With A Loud BANG!

This one hit the house. Luckily it had been dead for a long time and broke before the house did. Except for having to replace the gutter I think we are fine. My husband's beautiful stacked slate waterfall is in trouble though. When he gets home he'll have to get up on the roof and see if there is more damage than I am seeing though. The cats are spooked and Stephanie and I are trying to calm down.

A Lovely Day in Metro Detroit

This cutie helped me gather acorn caps... he was a purrer and very lovey dovey.

Here is the pile of acorn caps I gathered today! I'll have to go back for more tomorrow!!!!

A silly grasshopper was climbing the storm door. It moved quickly before I could snap the full picture of its belly through the glass.

The Undefinable Signs Of Autumn

The breeze is just a bit crisper, the clouds have a different air and the sky is somehow thinner and more transparent. Perfectly lovely.

He really is a big fellow.

I put a quarter as close as I could to this grasshopper to show relative size.

New Button Flower Display for the Brick and Mortar Shop

My hands are cramped and cut from twisting wire.. And I have made more since these pictures were taken... I am happy with the Halloween colored flowers and I love the rusty ricer as a vase. Someone bought most of the flowers the shop had displayed plus the vintage milk bottle they were displayed in!
