He caught a fish and then moved to another location to continue! It was really fun to watch.

When I walk I turn into a five year old

Yesterday as I walked I saw many other people my around my age on the trail. They were walking along like grown ups. I was stopping and filling my bag with rocks and pine cones and taking pictures of a cardinal (he was singing up a storm in the bright sun), a turtle sunnning himself on a log and a muskrat!! I am off today to see what I find!!

the variety of terrain on the path I walk

This is a one mile stretch of the path between 10 Mile and 11 Mile roads. Starting at the pond at 11 Mile there are woods and wetlands, marshes and streams. On either side of the trees that line the path there are subdivisions that you really can't see. Toward the other end there is a self storage place that is very visable for security reasons. Towards the other end is this wonderful Vicory Garden and the old shed and then as you reach 10 Mile there is an an abandoned lumber yard and a very lively concrete business. Quite a variety of landscape for a mile stretch!

New birds nest

I thought at first the robins had rebuilt but it turns out the neighbors tree holds a mourning dove nest. Momma dove was really giving me the stink eye this morning. I think this will be a successful location.
